The Federal Government has awarded Optus and Elders the opportunity to build a wireless and ADSL2+ internet infrastructure that will reach 99 per cent of Australians by mid-2009. Telstra missed out on the opportunity.

In other news, Netgear has secured a partnership with Optus to deliver wireless internet hardware to SOHO customers.
