Hello and welcome to the morning edition if iTnewswire. In this morning's edition we look at the security market. To no-one’s surprise we read that worldwide security software sales continue to boom, topping US$7.4b in 2005, up from US$6.4b in 2004. We aren’t surprised as we also read that ISPs are spending more to defend against massive denial-of-service (DoS) attacks than they are protecting themselves against highly-publicised worm attacks. Apple continues its digital home assault launching a slew of relatively cheap new iPods along with iTunes mark 7 and a new movie download service and a television set-top box. Reformed badboy Napster is doing its best to stay in digital music game. Following a recent drop in subscribers, it has said it will now give a digital player to people who purchase a three-month subscription to its mobile music service. Canon also proves that Dell isn't the only fire-prone vendor. The company is recalling 140,000 personal copiers because they could produce smoke or catch fire. And in local news we see that when it comes to spam, Australia is truly globally competitive, with the ACMA seizing the computer of a man suspected of sending more than two billion spam emails touting the male enhancement drug Viagra. Enjoy.
