This afternoon, Salesforce.com has said it plans to open an online store that would provide a single place for companies to try, buy, and deploy applications from Salesforce.com partners. The move expands the on-demand software vendor's role as an e-commerce hub.

Also making news, there is a new business building around spreadsheets called "Spreadsheet Management" and it will skyrocket more than 33-times to US$500 million in 2011, according to a report released Tuesday by Ventana Research.
