This afternoon, Steve Ballmer has given his clearest indication yet that Microsoft intends to mount legal challenges against Linux distributors allegedly using the software giant's intellectual property.

Also making news, a US scientist claims to have invented a robot that can 'heal' itself, for example detecting an injury to one of its legs and compensating by inventing a new way to continue walking.
