Welcome to the afternoon edition of the iTnewswire.

This afternoon, the Australian domain name registry body AuDA has doled out $275,000 to 16 not-for-profit Internet projects from across Australia.

HP has launched a program that assists local independent software vendors (ISVs) crack markets overseas. Under the program, dubbed the Elite ISV Club, HP will provide fund marketing, technical and business planning support to a select group of ISVs, looking to break into Asian markets.

The European Commission is preparing to file an anti-trust case against Intel, according to several media reports. Citing anonymous sources, the publications claim that EU lawyers have prepared a draft of a legal complaint.

Microsoft cut bonuses to Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer because of stalled profit gains, according to filings made to the Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday.

Thousands of US government computers may be under the control of cyber criminals. Software bots, a malicious code that turns PCs and servers into remotely controlled 'zombies', have dug into the computers of federal and state agencies, security experts say.

Are Microsoft CEOs under- or over-paid? Do local not-for-profits need a helping hand? Why not mail your comments.
