Welcome to morning edition of the iTnewswire.

This morning, analysts are predicting that Sony will lose at least US$560 million from its predicted earnings this year as it pays for huge battery recalls and a price cut for its PlayStation 3 games console.

In another prediction, more than half of all enterprises are expected to be using Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (Ajax) technology within the next two years.

A venture capitalist has claimed that Web 2.0 start-up companies should not seek venture capital investment, as venture capital investors typically invest several million dollars in burgeoning companies, looking for a return of several times their initial investment.

A new service claims to have launched a pay-for-votes services that allows publishers to promote their submissions on the Digg.com service. The service touts itself as a site "where Digg submitters pay for Digg users to promote their stories. And, where Digg users make easy money."

In other news, time is running out to enter PC Authority’s Reliability and Service Awards survey and competition.
