Welcome to the morning edition of the iTnewswire.

This morning, a trojan horse now making the rounds takes the unusual self-defense step of installing anti-virus software to scrub the victimised PC of competing malware.

BitTorrent has entered into agreements with a trio of hardware makers to embed the company's software into several new products aimed at reducing the time it takes to download and transfer files.

Contrary to predictions made by Gartner as recently as September, the research firm now believes that Microsoft will likely meet a January consumer launch date. At the same time, however, a Gartner analyst questioned the wisdom of sending the new operating system to market that time of the year.

Advertisers are expected to more than double their spending on messaging and display ads for mobile devices over the next five years, a market research firm has said.

China has yet to take an official stand on whether to require bloggers to register under their real names , but a group that works closely with Beijing on Internet policy is recommending that such a system be implemented.

Does it matter when Vista launches? Is BitTorrent going legit or are we about to see piracy go mobile? Mail your comments.
