Welcome to the morning edition of the iTnewswire.

This morning, dramatic changes in IT outsourcing, primarily caused by more demanding customers, will place increasing pressure on outsourcing providers
to adapt to the more competitive landscape, according to IDC.

Microsoft insists that the Security Centre in Windows Vista is vendor agnostic , and that talks about it with third parties - a.k.a. rivals in the security space - are still ongoing. Rivals, however, remain skeptical.

AMD has announced availability of media centre PCs that are powered by Athlon 64 X2 dual-core processors. The entertainment suite is bundled with three new software applications, designed to work with as many consumer electronic devices as possible.

IBM has said that US forces in Iraq will use its speech-to-speech translation technology to help offset a shortage of military linguists in the country.

Buena Vista Games is building a proprietary platform for video-game development for its Propaganda Games studio in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and has licensed Gamebryo Element to integrate with the system.

Will Microsoft play fair in the security market? Are smaller players the future of outsourcing? Mail your comments
