Welcome to the afternoon edition of the iTnewswire.

This afternoon, new research shows that the worldwide virtual machine software (VMS) market grew to a value of US$560 million in 2005.

Households and small businesses can print hundreds of pages and photographs a month - and enterprises can go into the thousands. That translates to a lot of ink. Which translates into a lot of dollars.

Providing a deeper look inside the quad-core Opteron, Advanced Micro Devices has detailed six areas where it will enhance the CPU, expected to appear in 2007.

A September decision by a US federal court may mean more spam hitting inboxes, an analyst has said.

Symantec has moved to position itself at the cutting edge of security concerns around Internet interaction and transactions with a new 'Security 2.0' initiative.

What is the business case for quad-core? Can Symantec dominate Web 2.0 secuirty? Mail your comments.
