Location-based services (LBS) vendor Tenzeng has secured funding via an investment by Pivotel Group.
Pivotel’s capital will enable Tenzeng to launch a suite of ‘finder solutions’ for enterprise to the local market in the coming months.
The first product to be launched is Tenzeng’s Workforce Management Solution, branded WorkScene, which leverages mobile carrier location capability, including Telstra’s Mobile Location Manager.
WorkScene allows SMEs to locate, track and communicate with their workforce through mobile phones. Operating via a web interface, offers fleet tracking without the need for additional hardware.
Tenzeng’s Asset Finder solution, which leverages the Globalstar mobile communication network, will also be available towards the end of 2006, with other products to follow throughout 2007.
Cheryl Quirion, Tenzeng’s managing director said the company’s partnership with Pivotel was an important milestone for Tenzeng.
“Tenzeng offers a range of location-enabled business products by combining its experience in delivering complex LBS technologies in a simple-to-use package with Pivotel’s and Globalstar Australia’s innovative product and services,” she said.
The LBS vendors’ technology will be used to create a tracking and mapping solution in conjunction with Globalstar’s simplex data technology.
