A computer repair provider which provides on-site technology support to homes and businesses has become a new channel for Acronis A/NZ, selling backup and disaster recovery software directly to its customers.

Geeks2U will now offer a disaster recovery solution to protect customers against potential problems, in addition to its traditional support services.

According to Geeks2U managing director, David Hancock, in the last 12 months the business has seen an increasing demand from customers for advice and recommendations on how to back up their computers and protect themselves against potential system failure and data loss.

He said: “Our technicians have been using Acronis for a while and found that their solutions are powerful, reliable and extremely easy to use. When asked to recommend backup and recovery solutions by our customers, we made the decision to introduce Acronis products and make them available for our customers to purchase through our technicians.”
