Tumbleweed TAP for local resellers
Security vendor Tumbleweed Communications has reworked its channel alliance program for the Asia-Pacific region to include new premier partners to its Tumbleweed’s Alliance Program (TAP).

The vendor has added a number of resellers selling its products in Australia, India and China. The expansion is driven by high demand for innovative, reliable and easy-to-use messaging security solutions.

TAP includes value added resellers, distributors, solution providers, service providers and system integrators that provide a variety of security services and solutions to medium-size, enterprise and government customers around the world.

Partners in TAP successfully and profitably leverage Tumbleweed's products to provide comprehensive Internet security solutions to their customers.

Stree Naidu, regional vice president Asia Pacific and Japan at Tumbleweed said the Australian Partner’s we have signed on to date are Content Security, Open Systems, Information Gateways and Klikon Solutions.

“It took us close to one month of evaluating the partner even before engaging them for a formal partnership,” he said. “They will sell our solutions – MailGate (Secure email content and networks), SecureTransport (Secure file transfer with customers and partners) and Validation Authority (Secure transactions with identity validation) – as well as provide technical support for our solutions.”

Naidu said the vendor chose the selected resellers for their skill sets, technical resources and ability to execute after researching the markets and verticals they played in, followed by various discussions with them.

“We choose partners based on their technical as well as sales strengths,” he said.
