Orange CEO quits after three years
Orange chief executive Sanjiv Ahuja has quit the company to "pursue new ventures".

Parent company France Telecom said that it would be a partner in one of Ahuja's new businesses, which would target emerging markets.

"After four great years with Orange, the time is right to move ahead with the aim of exploring some of the fascinating opportunities that I believe this sector still holds," Ahuja said. "I am also delighted to be maintaining my links with France Telecom."

Ahuja had been in the top job for three years and will still act as chairman of Orange UK, as well as advising France Telecom chief executive Didier Lombard.

Ahuja, who previously worked for IBM, joined Orange in April 2003 as chief operating officer before becoming chief executive a year later.
