Commander chosen for Kleenmaid installation
Kitchen and laundry appliance retailer, Kleenmaid, has chosen Commander to install a Nortel IP PBX and contact centre.

Commander was chosen through a tender process to provide a range of IP products comprising of Nortel Ethernet Routing Switch 5510s and Ethernet Switch 470s, Nortel communication server 1000 PBX with Nortel 1140, 2002 and 2004 IP handsets, and Nortel Contact Centre 6 to address Kleenmaid's multimedia contact centre requirements.

The integrator will also provide VPN services and an upgrade path for migrating Kleenmaid's retail outlets to IP telephony.

David Ingram-Johnson (pictured), IT manager at Kleenmaid said the installation will connect Kleenmaid's 36 national franchised retail outlets, improve management's access to calls and contact centre statistics, and integrate call functionality with mobile devices and PCs.

"Our current PABX has reached the end of its life, so we took the opportunity while moving to a new head office to implement a new communications platform,” he said.

The installation will go live by the end of December, said Ingram-Johnson.
