BullGuard security to ship with Optima PCs
Optima has signed up BullGuard to install a free-trial version of its anti-virus, firewall, spam filter and online backup tools into all Optima PCs and notebooks.

The security package will be pre-installed into Optima’s PCs and notebooks and will be a 90 day free trial.

Ole Mortensen (pictured), product marketing manager, Optima said BullGuard’s firewall protection guards the Internet connection, the spam filter rids the inbox of unsolicited mail and the online backup tool schedules automatic data backups.

“BullGuard’s package of security products includes live updates and 24-hour support to maintain the integrity of a PC,” he said.

“Logistically it made sense for Optima to bundle a clear line single security package.”

James Rhodes, local representative for BullGuard said this is the first OEM agreement for BullGuard.

“We had a local retail presence through our distributors Teksel, NetSecure and Intellitron, for around nine months now.

“An agreement like this is important in getting our brand better known and helps to build our local presence."

Rhodes said BullGuard was currently looking for other similar deals, like the one signed with Optima.
