SAP names Andrew Barkla as A/NZ chief

Barkla replaces Tim Ebbeck, who vacated the position in January after eight years at SAP and four years as its local managing director.

Barkla takes over from interim managing director and chief operating officer Shane Groebler. He will report to SAP’s Asia Pacific president Steve Watts.

Aside from Unisys, Barkla is also a former executive of PeopleSoft and System Software Associates in Australia and New Zealand.

Ebbeck currently serves as a trustee at NSW’s Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences, and co-chairman at NSW’s Maharastra Cricket Cup.
