Eleven Victorian organisations have headed to the UK to show off their wares at London's education technology show, BETT 2006.

Marsha Thomson, Victoria's Minister for Information and Communication Technology, said events like BETT 2006 gave companies the opportunity to "showcase their products and services and make contact with potential global partners".

Thomson said the importance of being globally-focused was a key theme of the Victorian Government ICT Industry Plan 2005-2010.

“Already local companies such as myinternet Limited, Etech Group and XSIQ International have had success on the global stage – and Victoria has been recognised as a provider of quality eLearning products and services, being picked up by UK initiative Curriculum Online,” Thomson said in a statement.
