Department to establish service provider panel.

The Attorney-General’s Department has revealed plans to establish a three-year, SAP software maintenance and support panel.

Attorney-General seeks SAP contractors

Last week, the department invited service providers with “specialist technical personnel” to respond to a request for tender, expected to close on 2 May.

The department sought outsourced staff with at least two years’ experience in SAP ERP Central Component (ECC) 6.0 in an Australian Government agency.

Tenderers would undertake product-related development and day-to-day support and maintenance for the department’s SAP products including: ECC 6; SRM; LSO; Portal; BW; Business Objects and CRM.

The department sought those with skills in finance; human resources; payroll; training; business intelligence; logistics; environment, health and safety; governance, risk and compliance; workflow; SAP development; and help desk.

The panel would serve the Attorney-General’s Department and any interested Commonwealth agencies, departments, authorities and companies for three years, with two one-year extension options.

Tender documents noted that participating agencies may perform “security, integrity probity, financial and referee checks” on tenderers, their partners, associates, subcontractors and related entities.

Outsourced personnel may be required to obtain ‘protected’ or ‘secret’ clearances on some occasions.

A majority of services were to be provided in the Canberra region, with agencies providing a day’s notice for projects lasting three days or less, a week’s notice for three- to ten- day projects, and two weeks’ notice for projects lasting longer than ten days.

The panel was expected to be established by 1 July.
