Hardware giant HP has awarded Australian reseller Indigo Pacific its best performing business solutions partner prize for the Asia-Pacific region this year.

Hardware giant HP has awarded Australian reseller Indigo Pacific its best performing business solutions partner prize for the Asia-Pacific region this year.

Indigo Pacific, which describes itself as an e-forms, workflow, document generation and content management applications provider, won the award at HP's regional Imaging and Printing Group partner conference this month in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Nine other Asia-Pacific HP partners competed for the prize.

"Indigo Pacific was chosen to receive the award as it was the highest HP Business Solution Partner growth contributor to the HP printer hardware pull-through via print solutions this year," HP said in a statement.

The vendor praised the reseller's SecureJet and BarDimm print offerings came in for helping SMBs "get the most" out of HP imaging and printing devices for their money.

SecureJet was aimed at providing secure printing access, copy control and job tracking for mobile and distributed printing. BarDIMM generated barcodes at printing speed on documents, using HP LaserJet printers, HP said.

Christopher Brown, a South Pacific region marketing manager at HP Imaging and Printing Group, said Indigo Pacific products helped HP expand its customer base.

"Their alliance is in line with our strategy to offer our customers high technology, affordably and to provide them with the best customer experience," Brown said.

John Theriault, channel manager at Indigo Pacific, said the reseller planned to build awareness and grow its business further "in line with conference objectives".

Indigo Pacific, which has offices in seven countries, was founded in 1988.

The reseller partnered HP business solutions in Australia and New Zealand on corporate accounts focused on HP LaserJet and multi-function printers. The reseller collaborated with HP on form automation, mobile printing, data stream translation, secure printing, print job accounting and tracking for customers, HP said.

HP's Solutions Partner conference brought developers and resellers together to discuss HP's Business Solution partner program, new products and strategies for increasing sales across the region.
