Thales Australia has inked a $51 million five-year contract extension to provide computer support services for Australian Defence Force command and control systems.
The systems included IT equipment and applications and formed part of the joint command support environment.
Thales would deliver services from facilities in Perth and Canberra.
"The command and control systems support military planning and the conduct of ADF operations and exercises," Minister for Defence Personnel, Materiel and Science Greg Combet said.
"The systems are used at the strategic and operational level of command both in Australia and on deployment.
"They are vital to the planning and conduct of ADF operations and exercises."
The Minister said the contract would support 37 jobs.
