HP touts new business intelligence services

The three new offerings run from data management tools to information governance services. HP said that, taken together, they would give firms an integrated view of information across the organisation, letting them make much more informed business decisions.

"With these new services, customers can better connect intelligence across the organisation and make business decisions with higher confidence," said Kristina Robinson, vice president and general manager for business intelligence solutions at HP.

"Especially during these difficult economic times, HP is 100 per cent focused on helping businesses address the most important challenges in enterprise data management to help them realise the full value of their business intelligence investments."

HP Master Data Management Services will let users capture and store data from across the enterprise in one silo, offering a single view of what could be complex amounts of information.

The company said that this would provide a better understanding of customers, and allow for more sales opportunities.

HP Information Quality Management Services, the second release, applies methodology and a quality control framework, according to the firm, and will improve the accuracy of data.

The final part of the announcement, HP Information Governance Services, adds to this, strengthening controls over data.
