Queensland-based ‘incognito ASP’ WebCentral has added two sales managers in Sydney and one in Melbourne.

Queensland-based 'incognito ASP' WebCentral has added two sales managers in Sydney and one in Melbourne.

The company has named Vic Scona as national key partner manager. Scona would be based in Sydney but manage 'tier one' partners across Australia, WebCentral said in a statement.

Scona was previously a business development director at online market research company RedSheriff, where he drove sales of web-based measurement, ratings and research services, helped develop new products and managed vertical sales strategy, the company said.

Before that, he worked at Sydney CitySearch, a division of Fairfax's online division f2.
Scona was promoted to sales management in 2000 and to f2 national product integration manager in 2001, WebCentral said.

The company also named Todd Buckley as wholesale account manager in its Sydney office. Buckley would work 'exclusively' with WebCentral's wholesale customers, such as OzEmail, WebCentral said.

Buckley comes most recently from a retail launch for Foxtel and partner program kick-offs for Sony and Sanyo.
Previously, he spent three years managing retail and wholesale marketing for Vodafone and five years in a business development-related role at telecommunications and IT distributor Cellnet, the company said.

WebCentral has also appointed Simon Oliver as a business development manager in Melbourne. Oliver's job would be to increase the company's Victoria-based webhosting revenue, the company said. Oliver joined sales at rival OzHosting since 2000, where he began as a senior sales representative.

He had since held down various senior business development manager roles at OzHosting, including for its reseller, advanced channel partner and worldwide wholesale networks, WebCentral said.
