APPLE WILL OPEN its 250th retail store on Friday continuing the Cupertino company's rapidly-expanding presence on the world's High Streets.

Apple opens 250th store
Apple stores, which have a well-earned reputation as glass and aluminium consumer cathedrals to all things Apple, have played a massive part transforming the company's fortunes in recent years being the only computer maker with its own exclusive retail outfit.

If you've never been to an Apple store and witnessed the way in which the company's reputation for stunning design translates itself into what is undeniably an awesome retail experience (even if you're not an Apple fan) then you might want to head for Modesto in California at 6pm on Friday.

If you're one of the first 1,000 people through the door (knowing Californian Macolytes you'll almost certainly have to queue), you'll be able to grab a free T-shirt, which you can proudly wear whilst you indulge yourself in (also free) presentations, demonstrations and workshops.
