Apple's first Victorian store will open in just one week -- but it will not be located in the Melbourne CBD.

Apple to open retail store in Chadstone, Vic.
The new store will be located in Chadstone Shopping Centre. The centre is the biggest retail hub outside of the Melbourne CBD and one of the largest shopping centres in the southern hemisphere.

Apple would not comment on why Chadstone was chosen over the CBD, but emphasised its support for the shopping mecca.

“Chadstone is a very big shopping centre that is well supported by the local community,” an Apple representative told iTnews.

Like its Sydney counterparts, the Apple Store Chadstone will offer one-on-one training, face-to-face support and creative help at the Genius Bar, workshops and programs for children.

This is Apple’s first Victorian store. Apple already runs one store in the Sydney CBD and another in the northern Sydney suburb of Chatswood. Thousands of people attended the open of each store.

"Every store opening is exciting, and we hope people will be just as excited in Victoria," said the representative.

The Apple Store Chadstone will open to the public on Saturday 13 September at 10am.
