As part of its renewed focus on the SMB market, Australian Internet Service Provider (ISP), Netspace, has launched a business communications solution for SMBs called BusinessOne.

ISP Netspace ramps up SMB push with launch of BusinessOne
Ben Dunscombe, regulatory affairs manager, Netspace said that business customers were given a ‘raw deal’ with so-called business-grade ISP packages.

“ISP service levels are falling and customer complaints to the Telecommunications Ombudsman are on the rise. Consumers are being given a raw deal and SMB customers' needs are being overlooked in favour of cheap fixes. It is regrettable that we are still waiting for ubiquitous fibre access,” Dunscombe said.

He claims BusinessOne customers have one dedicated account manager appointed to service their every communication needs.

The products being launched as part of BusinessOne include a unique Hosted Exchange Solution and Ethernet over Copper (EoC).

The Hosted Exchange solution is tailored to the needs of SMBs and can be up and running within hours.

“It bypasses the costly implementation, on-going administration and licensing fees typically associated with traditional Enterprise email solutions,” Dunscombe said.

According to Dunscombe, EoC is a disruptive technology solution aimed at business demand for high-speed affordable solutions caused by a lack of ubiquitous fibre connectivity.

“The majority of business solutions I am seeing in the market today are consumer products dressed up as business grade,” he said.
