EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

Today we present several case studies that reveal vastly different attitudes on cloud computing.

Retailer Roses Only would seem an obvious candidate for the cloud, but chose a traditional hosting model over pay-as-you-go. But then you speak to the more traditional industries and come across guys like AJ Lucas, which is almost in position to decommission the last of its physical servers and consume everything-as-a-service.

We also have the latest on Microsoft's SkyDrive plans and last week's Ninefold outage.
