High-end cameras meet mobile phones.

Nokia has started shipping its high-end Nokia N73 and N93 media phones.

The N73 targets 'mobloggers' and photo enthusiasts with a 3.2-megapixel camera, Carl Zeiss optics and mechanical shutter. Nokia is offering a quadband Edge and a 3G model.

The N93 features a similar lens but adds 3x optical zoom and allows users to shoot video and play it on a compatible television directly from the phone. It stores up to 90 minutes of DVD-quality video on an optional 2GB miniSD memory card.

Through a partnership with Flickr, Nokia will allow users to upload photos to the online photo sharing service and add comments directly from their phones without requiring any additional software.

The N73 is expected to retail at €400 before taxes and subsidies from operators. Nokia did not provide pricing information for the N93, but online stores are accepting pre-orders at about €715.
