Security vendor Check Point has introduced a virtual appliance for protecting Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments.
The service, available through Amazon Web Services, includes firewall, intrusion prevention, application control and URL filtering.
It is configured with downloadable, Windows-based Check Point management software and can be integrated with the vendor's on-premise security offerings.
AWS chief information security officer Stephen Schmid said it had a "shared-responsibility security model that enables customers to choose a security solution that best meets their application's needs, while AWS remains focused on providing a safe and secure infrastructure".
