Apple has updated its iPod range with new iPod mini and iPod photo models.

Apple has updated its iPod range with new iPod mini and iPod photo models.

The new iPod mini comes in 4GB and 6GB models priced at $299 and $359 respectively. The new models boast an improved battery life of up to 18 hours, according to Apple. They are available in silver, pink, blue and green.

The iPod Photo has also been updated and is now available in a 30GB version priced at $499 and a 60GB version for $649. Both feature a high-resolution colour screen for displaying digital images and can be connected to a digital camera via the new iPod Camera Connector.

The optional iPod Camera Connector allows digital images to be transferred directly to the iPod Photo from a supported camera, thus freeing up space on the camera for more pictures. The price is yet to be confirmed, with the iPod Camera connector is expected to be available in late March.
