NSW Police are investigating the theft of $750,000 worth of digital cameras from a warehouse in Sydney.

NSW Police are investigating the theft of $750,000 worth of digital cameras from a warehouse in Sydney.

Detective Inspector Darren Bennett, crime manager at Redfern, told iTnews Police were running several lines of inquiry. " We're still trying to chase up where the property may be," Bennett said.

Police attending a break-in at Alexandria, Sydney yesterday discovered 1,975 Traveler digital cameras and a truck had been stolen from the warehouse.

"The cameras are yet to be released for sale in Australia and police are urging any members of the public offered a discount 3.2 megapixel Traveler digital camera to immediately contact police," according to a NSW Police statement.

The truck was recovered yesterday and police have seized it for forensic examination.
