Since 2000, ACMA's IT needs have been served under the Group 8 whole-of-IT outsourcing contract, which was won by Australian IT service provider Ipex.
Ipex was later acquired by Volante, which was in turn was acquired by Commander, which has since collapsed.
West-Australian IT services outfit CSG has been providing the agency's IT needs since Commander's collapse and will hand over to Logica on June 26.
The outsourcing deal, worth $10 million, sees Logica provide ACMA a full range of ICT services including the supply of infrastructure and support services.
Logica will be supporting 540 ACMA staff based in offices in Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne, as well as several additional remote workers.
ACMA is responsible for the regulation of telecommunications and media companies.
In a statement, Logica said it is tasked with "assessing ACMA's IT requirements and subsequently implementing systems for the transformation and management of the organisation's servers, desktop and communications infrastructure."
