Firefox made the concept of tabbed browsing very popular and the Fancy Numbered Tabs addon makes it even better.

It replaces the small cross on the right-hand side of the tab used to close the tab with a number. Press Ctrl and the number to jump to that tab.

This shortcut works for the first eight tabs and the Ctrl+9 shortcut jumps to the last open tab.

When the mouse hovers over the number it returns to the cross so that the tab can be closed.

Like so many Firefox addons, it just does one job but does it very well, making this browser that little bit easier to use.
