Verdict: A useful utility when designing colour schemes

Good designs, whether online on or paper, depend on choosing complimentary colours.

This can be easier said than done because just because you have one colour in mind doesn't mean that it is simple to find the colours that work well with it. Absolute Color Picker is a helpful utility that helps organise colours.

There are several different views for selecting colours including hexagons and standard palettes. The starting colour can be chosen using RGB, HSB or the hex values used in HTML code.

More useful to beginners is the option to choose colours from another open window by clicking and dragging from one box in Absolute Color Picker to the correct position on screen. A live preview makes this easier.

Colours can be saved in a line of bookmarks at the bottom of the screen.

The help file is not included with the program but can be downloaded from the Eltima website.
