Liberty Emulator lets you play Nintendo Gameboy games on a Palm device - an impressive achievement given the differences between the two platforms.
Nintendo game cartridges can be ported to the Palm OS via a GB Exchanger or Copier, which you connect to your PC. These can be found easily on the web.
An easier option is to download the many free games already ported, either from the Gambit Studios website (above) or elsewhere on the internet.
Speed improvements mean that the emulator now runs up to 70 per cent faster than the earlier versions. You must still run an over-clocking utility to achieve decent speeds - try the free Cruise Control, or alternatively see the Gamibt Studios website for details of others.
All the Nintendo classics are available, including Mario Brothers, and there are others from the PC's early days, such as Pacman and Space Invaders.
Various options allow you to get the most out of the games. The frame rate and command speed can be altered for individual games, and controls are also fully customisable allowing you to play in a style that suits you.
Note:This demo is fully functioning on all games under 32k in size, and is time-limited to 30 days for games over 32k.
