Servcorp re-shuffle sees new CIO

Long-time IT leader Marcus Moufarrige moves into operations.

Serviced and virtual office provider Servcorp has undergone a chief information officer reshuffle after moving long-time CIO Marcus Moufarrige to the chief operating officer role.

The ASX-listed firm has appointed its former head of business technology, Matthew Baumgartner, as its new CIO.

Baumgartner has been in the new role since January. He joined Servcorp about two years ago.

Moufarrige told iTnews the change signified an "evolution" of the Servcorp business.

"Servcorp's evolved from being a purely property company to being more of a technology services company," he said.

"I've been CIO for a long time and at the end of the day it was a natural progression for me to step into a COO role because i have operational experience in the business as well."

Baumgartner will continue to report to Moufarrige under the restructure.

Moufarrige said that the firm's IT strategy would "definitely not change".

Late last year, Servcorp revealed ambitions to provide hosted technology services to customers under a "reinvention" of the company.
